Day -1: Jodhpur City Tour

Mehrangarh Fort
Built by Rao Jodha in the 15th century, it is one of the largest forts in Rajasthan where you can see Sheesh Mahal, The Hall of Mirrors, Phool Mahal, The Palace of Flowers, Takhat Vilas. This beautiful room was the private apartment of Takhat Singh (1843-). 72). Moti Mahal, Palace of Pearls, and many more.

Jaswant Thada 
This milky white monument, also known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar, was built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II in the late 19th century. This graveyard serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar.

Umaid Bhawan Palace
This palace is situated at the highest point of Jodhpur city. This huge palace with 347 rooms is considered to be one of the largest private residences in the world. The palace boasts of a combination of Indian and European architectural styles. Part of the palace still serves as the residence of the former royal family, while the other two parts of the palace have been converted into the Taj Palace Hotel and Museum.

Mandore Gardens
Mandore, dating from the sixth century, was the capital of Marwar before the establishment of Jodhpur. The Mandore Garden here attracts a large number of tourists. Mandore Garden also has a government museum, a 'Hall of Heroes' and a temple of 33 crore deities. Various artefacts and sculptures found in the area are housed in the museum. The architectural splendour of the bygone era is evident here.

Clock Tower and Market 
The clock tower is a popular landmark in the old city and also known as Ghanta Ghar. The vibrant Sardar Market is close to the tower, and narrow alleys lead from here to a bazaar selling vegetables, spices, Indian sweets, textiles, silver and handicrafts. It is a great place to ramble around at leisure.
